Closure and process selection
Close the designated open end with a compatible medical heat sealer. Qualify temperature together with pressure and contact time or speed for the selected film. Use only the sterilization method and validated cycle applicable to the supplied configuration, the packaged item and the sterilizer.
Printed process indicators help distinguish processed and unprocessed packs. Their colour response alone does not establish that the contents are sterile.
Storage and shelf life
Unused packaging has a shelf life of 5 years from manufacture when stored under the specified conditions. This period does not define a fixed sterility duration after processing. Inspect the package and seals and follow the facility’s release and storage procedures.
